Marigolds are ever present. Growing on fields and in small gardens. Being sold by the handful on the streets or hanging from temple arches and front doors. They are a fragrant and colourful part of everyday life in the city.

Sel Roti
During Tihar and Dashain a special kind of roti pops up everywhere around the city. Made from rice flour and shaped like a circle this is a signature dish during festival season. Cooking stations are set up wherever it’s convenient. In this case: the old garage.
